Guadalupe Credit Union Announces Key Leadership Promotions
Santa Fe, NM – Guadalupe Credit Union (GCU) is excited to announce the promotion of four distinguished team members to key leadership roles, reflecting the credit union's commitment to fostering internal talent and enhancing its mission of financial empowerment.
Nelson Medina has been promoted to VP of Marketing & Business Development, effective April 25, 2024. Nelson has been an integral part of GCU since 2014, previously serving as Branch Manager, Marketing Director, and VP of Marketing. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad Ana G. Mendez in Puerto Rico. In his new role, Nelson will spearhead strategic marketing initiatives and oversee business development efforts.
“I am thrilled to take on this expanded role and lead the development of our new business department. I am committed to supporting local small businesses and enhancing our financial literacy initiatives to ensure our members' financial well-being,” said Nelson Medina.
Kidiam Rodriguez has been promoted to VP of Human Resources & Training, effective May 23, 2024. Since joining GCU in 2014, Kidiam has excelled in various roles, including Marketing & Outreach Coordinator, Financial Coach, HR Generalist, and HR Manager. She holds a master’s degree in Human Resources from Universidad Ana G. Mendez. In her new role, Kidiam will lead the HR and Training teams.
“I am honored to continue my journey with GCU and lead our HR and Training initiatives. My goal is to ensure we provide excellent support and development opportunities for our staff,” said Kidiam Rodriguez.
Diane Sandoval-Griego has been promoted to Chief Financial Empowerment Officer / EVP, effective May 23, 2024. Diane, a dedicated GCU member since 2006, has held various roles including Loan Officer, Branch Manager, and Financial Coaching Manager. She is currently attending Western Governors University. In her expanded role, Diane will oversee Financial Coaching & Outreach, Consumer Lending, and Mortgage Lending.
“I am excited to expand our financial empowerment initiatives and continue supporting our community's financial well-being,” said Diane Sandoval-Griego.
Anahi Lopez has been promoted to VP of Branch Operations, effective July 31, 2024. Anahi has been a dedicated team member since July 29, 2013, and has held roles such as Receptionist, Member Service Representative, Assistant Branch Manager, Branch Manager, Training Director, and Branch Operations Manager. She holds an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Santa Fe Community College. In her new role, Anahi will oversee the operations of all branches, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
“I am excited to take on this new challenge and work with our talented team to enhance our member services across all branches,” said Anahi Lopez.
Tanya Romero-Sturgeon, GCU’s President/CEO, expressed her confidence in the newly promoted leaders: “Nelson, Kidiam, Diane, and Anahi have each demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership.
